With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Gilbert Mbeo is a distinguished physician specializing in Neurology, NeuroIntensive Care, Interventional Pain Management and Brain Trauma. His expertise lies in delivering evidence-based, high-quality care to patients facing critical neurological conditions, including acute stroke, neuromuscular respiratory failure, status epilepticus, and brain and spinal cord trauma. Dr. Mbeo currently focuses his practice on Interventional Pain procedures and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)/Concussion.

As a Neurointensivist, Dr. Mbeo possesses an advanced understanding of complex neurological disorders, with a particular focus on the critical care of patients with acute brain, spine, and neuromuscular conditions. Through his work, he has witnessed firsthand the life-altering impact of brain injuries such as strokes and head trauma. While modern medicine has made great strides in saving lives, Dr. Mbeo was deeply concerned that many survivors were left with severe, lasting disabilities.

Driven by a vision to revolutionize neurological recovery, he founded the Brain, Spine, Pain Institute of Lake Nona in Orlando, Florida—a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing patient outcomes through cutting-edge interventions. Recognizing the profound healing potential of neuromodulation, he expanded his practice to establish the Brain Treatment Center Orlando. This innovative department offers non-invasive treatments such as cognitive rehabilitation, Magnetic Resonance Therapy (MeRT), and transcranial magnetic stimulation, providing new hope for patients with a range of neurological conditions.

Dr Mbeo has since expanded the scope of patients he is able to care for in forming Brain Spine Pain Clinic, in which he provides both virtual and in-person care for patients with headaches, TBI/Concussions, cognitive issues and pain across multiple states.  Dr. Mbeo has shown his dedication to caring for these patients not only through is multiple Board Certifications, but through his license to practice medicine in 18 states!

At the core of Dr. Mbeo’s work is a commitment to transforming lives through breakthrough neurological and interventional pain treatments. His dedication to combining science, innovation, and compassionate care continues to drive new possibilities for patients seeking recovery and relief.

Dr Mbeo currently serves as founder and Medical Director of Brain Spine Pain Institute of Lake Nona, FL and Brain Spine Pain Clinic, which serves patients in multiple states.  He also often serves as a medical expert.
